Welcome to Cinetiks, music for films, television, interactive medias and video-games!
A sound-world of almost limitless colour offering a strong emotional support for images.
Cinetiks is a film music production company that features the unique European composer-duo Patrick Savage and Holeg Spies.
Patrick Savage & Holeg composer-duo is leading the future of film music scoring. You already know the best work comes out of
a collaboration of many great creative talents, providing you with unlimited creativity.
You've had a team at every stage along the way (costumes, visual effects, editorial, art, production, sound). And now,
we bring this productive principle to original dramatic music scoring. Massive box-office success "The Dark Knight" is a great
example of exactly what happens when you put more than one composer into a "think tank".
James Newton Howard and Hans Zimmer worked together to create arguably the most powerful score of the year. We believe excellence
is achieved through a managed and tempered collaboration. This is the dynamic new direction the film music sector is heading.
The Cinetiks Composer Collective recognizes the potential of this evolution and pushes the idea with the force of a thousand-fold.
Our pioneering members Patrick Savage & Holeg Spies understand the dramatic power of film and music, and how to provide
an increase in production quality by collaboration.
From pure Hollywood orchestral music to the most indie music Cinetiks offers you a potent combination ofunique creative
talents and the technical expertise to manage the best score creation at every stage. With a special gift for melody and an
expressive range from the most delicately intimate to explosively epic, Patrick Savage is a young British/Australian film composer
fast establishing a great reputation in Europe and the United States. Trained at the Royal College of Music in London, Patrick has
scored numerous films on both sides of the Atlantic. His ability to express his own distinctive musical voice through a wide range of
musical languages enables him to find even the most subtle and complex emotional undertone of any scene, and to answer the most
formidable of challenges from directors.
Although Patrick loves to write for the orchestra, he is also an accomplished electro-acoustic composer. Patrick Savage
spent several years as principal first violin virtuoso in the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and an acclaimed, award-winning
solo violinist.Recently Patrick Savage has been signed by Pirate Pictures in the US to score the feature 'Shadowland'.
He is resident composer for the 'Enigmatic Film' company in London, and has scored their entire, sizeable output of short films.
For Enigmatic he will write the full orchestral soundtrack of their upcoming feature film, 'Sleep One More Night'. He has also written
for 'Open Rhodes' production company, and scored their web-based sitcom, 'Lee's Sitcom' which was distributed by Virgin.
Recently Patrick was been invited to transfer to LA to work with composer Klaus Badelt, composer for Pirates of the Carribean
I and Catwoman. He was also requested to submit a demo title track for the new Steven Spielberg TV show 'On The Lot', currently in
pre-production. He also has a wealth of experience working as a musician on such film scores as the Academy Award winning
'Lord of the Rings' Trilogy (music by Howard Shore), Mr Bean 2 and 'Valiant' (music by George Fenton).
Holeg Spies is a French composer/producer known for his gift for drama and his unique musical style which has been described
as "undefinable, eclectic, destabilizing". For almost 15 years, Holeg Spies has taken a global and modernist approach to composition.
His unbridled creative alchemy transforms and blends styles with mind-blowing sound-production and breath-taking spacial design.
From indie-rock to electronica through world and classical music, Holeg has worked with major record companies such as Universal Japan,
BMG and Polygram. Widely travelled and experienced in international collaborations, Holeg's skills and flexibility make him a pleasure
to work with for any director, and his unique sound offers powerful support for the moving image. With indie-movie scores on both side
of the Atlantic and Japan, Holeg Spies is now catching the attention of major film companies.
He recently collaborated to the music for the trailer for Hollywood thriller, The Hitcher, (produced by Michael Bay & Focus Features).
Trained at the French National Institute of Audiovisual (INA), Holeg created the avant-guarde, multi-media 'SPIES' art installation
in the mid 90's with director Thierry Saint-Paul. Together, they drew the lines of a new mode of creation, the "notinism", to exceed
the membership in any artistic, political and religious movement. SPIES travelled the world as far afield as India and Japan,
showing at prestigious venues such as the National Museum of Modern Art of France (the Pompidou centre), the Canon Urbanlenz-Exhibition
in Tokyo, Something Nothing Museum in New-York and many other contemporary art exhibitions. Holeg Spies has constantly explored
various cultures and sound-worlds to forge his own "out-standard" style, notably in Japan where he was sponsored for several years
by Mike Maguire, ex-Juno Reactor (Matrix 2 & 3). In 2002, he met director Miike Takashi and scored an exclusive 4' trailer for his
award-winning movie Ichi the Killer. That motivated him to concentrate on film music. In the meantime, Holeg Spies composes musical
collections represented by Musique-Music (FR), Songs To Your Eyes (USA). He also produces and arranges titles for other artists
such as Von Magnet (FR), Anne Clark (UK), Yasushi Yamazaki (JP), Shelly Poole (UK).
